We purchased the Back Bay platform bed which is the same as this one a year ago.My husband and I put it together in two hours and he doesn't have much patience in using the directions but we did it and we have been very happy with it. We are both good size people and this bed has worked well for us. I have recommended this bed to friends and am in the process of purchasing two more for my sons. It is not easy to move, wouldn't plan on moving it out of our room, would have to take it apart to do that and not sure how that would work. If you have patience and read the directions not that bad to put together. Board you lay mattress on is not painted but if your bed is made and your mattress is big enough you wont see it anyway.If you buy it you wont be disappointed.

Got it for my sons room.. perfect cause it was low to the ground and an easy design.. Very difficult to put together, especially with the upside down framing you have to put on it.. when we went to move it, we lifted the beams and all the screws just came out of all the wood.. the wood was like butter and very weak.. The beams still work with no screws cause that is how they are now.. some of the holes were drilled wrong too

[...]The inside platform pieces were not painted and showed after the mattress was put on. The assembly was difficult, because some of the screw holes were missing and the edges didn't line up. Now I can't even begin to move it, because of the weight and it would be way too difficult to return.

Bed was somewhat difficult to put together. The screws for the top of the platform were not long enough to make a stable platform on which the mattress rests. I don't think this bed would be very durable because of that. We ended up using longer screws. Overall, once we changed that we feel the bed was worth the cost. [...]product not the best.

I would definitely recommend this product. Just as a warning--one of the pieces came damaged. Not a big deal for us because the bed is covered with a sham anyways. Very easy to assemble and has lasted two months so far! Came in a huge, heavy box. Be sure to get help lifting/carrying that into your home.

I was so surprised to find the fantastic quality of this product![...] I was amazed at the quality, easy assembly directions and overall ease of assembly. I am very, very pleased with my son's new bed and will be upgrading my 2nd son's room with a new full bed version of this same product. LOVE IT!!

i read a lot of the reviews before i chose this one... assembly was the primary reason that many did not like about the product, i love it though... with a patient person reading the directions (which is the hardest part) everything went smoothly... didnt take forever but still took some time.. turned out great tho!
